“Never put off for tomorrow what you can put off for the day after”. That is the motto that Keith claims to live by, but even a brief glance through his professional career will tell of a man who is passionate about all forms of media and marketing. Having cut his advertising teeth servicing the Unilever account, Keith moved across to the discipline of media at Thompson Associates (TAL) and was appointed Jt MD of the agency in 2004. Following TAL’s formal affiliation with the Omnicom Group in 2006, Keith became the CEO of BBDO/Proximity Sri Lanka, a post he held until 2011 before returning to his favourite focus – media communications, heading the Omnicom Media Group, Sri Lanka.
Keith has been on the Board of the Accredited Advertising Agencies’ Association (4As) for well over a decade, serving as its President for two terms from 2009 to 2011. He was a member of the Blue Print Committee that set up the Effies in Sri Lanka and has also served on the Effies Jury. An amateur photographer and avid bird watcher, Keith says that through this he found his escape from the city and its foibles late in life – perhaps the one thing he did put off for later.
