Lalith Dassenaike who is currently a Regional Council Member of the GWP (Global Water Partnership) in South Asia Regional Council, bring with him many years of experience in commercial roles dealing with sustainability. Over 20 years experience working in International Development and specifically in Research for Development. He has been a passionate conservationist from a young age and spends as much of his free time in Sri Lanka’s national parks.
Lalith is also an Independent Consultant for Water Resources Development, Climate Change, Sustainable Development and most recently he served as the Lead Consultant in “Sustainable Development” for Hotel Development Project between Hotel Developer and World Bank ((FC) in Sri Lanka on Environmental Management, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development. He was part of the Moderator Panel Discussion (“WASH Innovations and Good Practices) and the Panelist & Leader at the Roundtable Discussion (“WASH Partnerships and Initiatives”) as well as the Aid and International Development Forum (AIDF) ASIA SUMMIT Bangkok, June 2016 & 2018. Lalith was the UNDP Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) for the GEF funded Solomon Island Water Sector Adaptation Project (SIWSAP) 2015.
